In our last post we were in the BoardWalk club waiting for our room to be ready but not just any room a cottage. Both our phone notifications went off at the same time that our room was ready, number 1209. To get to the cottage we had to take the elevator to the ground floor and exit the building. Coming in from the lobby and across the enclosed walkway we actually were on the second floor. This is the only downside to the cottage as the entrance is outside and the walk way is not covered.
We made you way to number 1209 and found we had our own garden in front of the “room”. We opened the French doors using our Magic Bands and found ourselves walking into a large sitting room on the first floor with a L-shaped sofa, a desk, a flat screen TV, a half bathroom and a small out cove with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. On the coffee table we found a box from The Ganachery in Disney Springs with two chocolate bars that had the BoardWalk logo molded in to them.
Walking up the hard wood stairs to the second floor bedroom we found a king size bed. This level had the master bathroom with a big soaking tub and a separate shower. There was also another flat screen TV, large chest of drawers and a comfy chair that my wife used to block the stairs at night. Don’t ask me why as we don’t sleep walk, well I don’t think I do. With the pull out sofa bed on the first floor this Cottage could easily sleep four adults or two adults and three small children as long as they get along.
Going down the stairs I noticed the two large windows over the French doors and started to wonder how we were going to close them when we went to bed at night. To my relief looking on the wall at the bottom of the stairs I found two switches that operated the shades and curtains to the upper windows.
Leaving the Cottage I noticed we were very close to the resorts quite pool which I prefer as my favorite time at the pool is snoozing in a lounge chair. We also had two chairs and a table on our porch for morning coffee or afternoon happy hour.
After staying the weekend we hated to leave the Cottage. We just loved it.
